BESSIE MARIE PITZER, 18 months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Pitzer of Mt. Pleasant township, met with a sad death last week. Mrs. Pitzer was engaged in scrubbing the porch with hot water when the family dog, chasing a bumble-bee, ran against the child, throwing her into the pan of water, scalding its back severely. The child went into convulsions and died several days later. Funeral services were held at the house last Wednesday by Rev. Mumford of Littlestown. Interment in Flohr's cemetery near Cashtown.
