JOHN - Mrs. Charlotte John, a daughter of the Rev. Morris Mitchell and Medora Mead Mitchell, was born on August 17, 1880 and passed away at the McCollum Nursing home in Chariton on February 13, 1967 at 86 years of age.
She was born in Jefferson county. She was a long-time Lucas resident. She was married to William A. John on June 1, 1898 in Lucas.
Preceding her in death were her husband, William, who passed away in 1955; four sisters, three brothers and one son who died in infancy.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John Ginn of Coucil Bluffs; one son, William A. John of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 13 nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted Tuesday, February 14 at 1:30 at the Miley Chapel, with Elder W. R. Chandler officiating. Interment was at the Fry Hill cemetery at Lucas.
