Fred L. Dunlap
Fred L. Dunlap, 61, of Oil City R.D. 1, died at 3:50 a.m. today in the Franklin Regional Medical Center following an illness.
He was born in Mercer Township, Butler County, on Nov. 13, 1924, a son of Lawrence and Ethel Roberts Dunlap.
He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Operating Engineers Local 666. Mr. Dunlap belonged to the Oakland United Methodist Church and the Oakland Grange 281.
He was first married to the former Vivian Stainbrook who died March 19, 1965. On March 30, 1973 he married Twila Vogus Dolby, who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Stephen (Susan) Keel of Dallas, Texas; a stepson, David J. Dolby of Oil City; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Charles (Judy) Wood of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three brothers, Floyd Dunlap of Mercer; Norman Dunlap of Grove City; Clyde Dunlap of Garland Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Clair (Pearl) Kifer of Dallas, Texas; Mrs. George (Grace) Leiby of Jackson Center; Mrs. Glenn (Shirley) Maurer of Franklin; and four step-grandchildren.
Two brothers, William and Kenneth Dunlap, and two sisters, Edith Simmons and Charlotte Henderson, are deceased.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Morrison Funeral Home, Oil City.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. John M. Scott, pastor of Oakland United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of Venango County or to the Oncology Unit of the Franklin Regional Medical Center.
