She was the youngest of eleven children of Joseph W. and Damsel James. She was united in marriage March 31, 1885, to Morgan Jackson Ewing to which union were born four children, one dying in infancy.
In 1905, she with her family moved to Sheldon where she has since lived, making for herself a niche in the life of the community which no one can fill.
About a year after her marriage, she united with the Methodist Church in the community in which she lived, uniting with the Christian Church after coming to Sheldon. On May 1st, 1926, she passed suddenly away, leaving a grief stricken husband, three children, Harry Ewing of Sheldon, Mrs. Harvey Putt and Mrs. Robert Ormiston, both of Goodland, three sisters and one brother besides a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at the residence of Grove St., Monday at 2 p.m., Rev. Worley of Donovan, assisted by Rev. Dunkleberger of Sheldon officiating.
