GORMAN — Bertha L. Gregory, 96, died Sunday at a De Leon hospital.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with Durward Webb officiating, assisted by Craig Rhoton. Burial will be in Gorman Cemetery.

Mrs. Gregory was born in Lamkin and graduated from North Texas State University. She taught school in Sierra Blanca and Cisco and was a member of Gorman Church of Christ.

She married Alfred Mehaffey in 1927 in Comanche. She married Oliver Gregory in 1969 in Gorman; both preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Eula Lee Miears of Gorman and Wanda Fae Goodwin of Lubbock; three stepsons, Harold Gregory of Phoenix, Ariz., Quentin Gregory of Whitesboro and Jimmie Gregory of Lewiston, Idaho; one stepdaughter, Pauline Draper of Denison; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
