Graveside services for Wanda Fae Mehaffey Goodwin of Midland, Texas will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2019 in Gorman, Texas at Oaklawn Cemetery with Gary Montgomery officiating under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday evening, December 27, 2019 from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. at the Higginbotham Funeral Home. Mrs. Goodwin passed away peacefully Monday, December 23, 2019 in Midland at the Legacy Ranch Senior Living.

Wanda was born December 2, 1929 in Crane, Texas to Alfred and Bertha Geye Mehaffey. After graduating from Gorman High School, she married David (T.D.) Goodwin on June 12, 1949 and celebrated 58 years of marriage until his death on March 22, 2008. She was a homemaker and a loving and devoted mother of three children and supporting wife of her husband who worked as a coach and school administrator for 42 years in Carbon, Gorman, Tolar, Paducah and Lago Vista, Texas and in Des Moines and Elida, New Mexico. After retirement, they also resided in Lubbock, Carthage and Midland, Texas. She was a lifelong active member of the Church of Christ.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband David (T.D.), parents Alfred and Bertha Mehaffey, sister and brother-in-law James and Eula Lee Mehaffey Miears and great-grandchildren Kate, Kyle, Joel and Seth Decker.
