Mrs. Lockwood Dies At Uniondale Home
Mrs. Elizabeth Lockwood, 78, wife of Arthur Lockwood, died at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday at her home in Uniondale following an illness of four years. Death was due to complications.
Born in Ohio, Jan. 22, 1868, the decedent came to Wells county as a little girl with her parents, George and Catherine Hunsicker Nusbaumer, and had resided in the county the remainder of her life. Her marriage May 3, 1891, in Nottingham township, was to Arthur Lockwood, who survives.
Surviving besides the husband are two sons, Delma and Harold Lockwood, both of Yucaipa, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Walburn, route 3; seven grandchildren; four brothers, Bert Nusbaumer, near Keystone, Ray Nusbaumer, of Montpelier, Jesse Nusbaumer, of Keystone, and Chalmer Nusbaumer, of Metamora, and three sisters, Mrs. Frank Dukes of Petroleum, Mrs. William Kizer, of Keystone, and Mrs. William Roush, of Lawrenceville, Ill. A son, a brother and a sister are deceased.
The body will be taken from the Jahn funeral home Saturday afternoon to the residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Methodist church in Uniondale, of which Mrs. Lockwood was a member, in charge of Rev. Rosier. Burial will be in the Six Mile cemetery.
