OBITUARY :
MRS. AMANDA STOUFFER BACHTELL, widow of Tracy Bachtell, died Tuesday at 6:45 a.m. at her home at Edgemont, aged 90 years.

Mrs. Bachtell was born at Greensburg, near Smithsburg, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Gehr Stouffer and had resided during her entire life in Washington County, 65 years of which were at Edgemont. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greensburg.

Surviving are children, E. P. and Robert N., both of Hagerstown; Charles D., Chambersburg; Miss Amy E., at home; Mrs. Amos E. Bowman, Chewsville, and Mrs. J. M. Smith, Edgemont; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was the last of five children.

Funeral services Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Greensburg Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rev. Francis Bell officiating. Interment in Smithsburg cemetery.

Friends may call at the Grove funeral home, Waynesboro, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., and the body may be viewed at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the service hour.
