Marilyn Bell was born on August 3, 1938. She went home to her heavenly father on April 10, 2011 at the age of 72 years 8 months and 7 days.

Marilyn grew up in a home that believed in the Lord as Savior and attended the Nazarene churches her dad pastored. In 1949 at the age of 11, Marilyn contracted polio and spent several weeks in St John Hospital. Her father prayed for her healing and her life was saved.

Marilyn accepted Christ at her father's church at age 15. At the age of 17 Marilyn met Percy's sister Reba Bell at the church they were both attending. Reba told Marilyn about her brother Percy who was in the Army in Chicago. They began writing each other and met shortly thereafter. Percy was deployed to Hawaii but they continued to write each other. Percy returned home in December of 1956. Marilyn graduated form Central High School in May of 1957, and she and Percy married June18, 1957 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Susan, their daughter was born to them April of 1958.

They bought their first home in 1960 in the Catoosa area where they lived until 1975. In 1975 they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and Marilyn began working in the Customer Service Department of the Shell Oil Credit Card Department on 61st and Yale, just across from St. Francis Hospital around 1981. Marilyn retired from Shell Oil in 1998.

Marilyn's grandsons' were her pride and joy. She never missed an opportunity to tell everyone about the two of them and their accomplishments. But, she was most proud of what Godly, Christian men that they had become.

Marilyn has been preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Arthur And Ida Miller; four sisters, Marcella Walden, Mildred Heckel, Willabess Chambers and Eva Mae DeShong; three brothers, Ray Miller, Haven Miller and Arthur Miller Jr. "Junior".

She is survived by her husband; daughter; two grandsons and their wives. Marilyn would want everyone to know that she loved them and will see them again.
