Lucy Harriet Holder Clark was a kind, loving, wife, mother and grandmother. She and her husband, Savannah, had four children. Joe (stillborn), Frankie Lee, Emogene, Lorene. She was widowed when her children were teenagers. Her brothers and sisters always checked on her and made sure she was taken care of. Devoted to her children and grandchildren. She even took in two of her grandchildren for 9 months while her daughter, Emogene, and her husband were in Alaska.
She took up sewing as a job and worked at a garment factory for a short while. She retired to her home in Madison, where she did dressmaking for as long as she could work. She was loved by all. A wonderful example of hard work, and dedication.
