DILLENDER FUNERAL HELD

Services For Man Who Shot Deputy Sheriff and Then Killed Himself

(Special to the Indianapolis News)

MARTINSVILLE, Ind., August 14. --- Funeral services for Clarence (Peck) Dillender, who shot Carl Duncan, deputy sheriff near Spencer, Thursday evening, and then shot and killed himself here Friday evening, were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist Episcopal Church in Mahalasville, six miles south of this city.

Brief services were held at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Columbus Dillender, in this city, before the body was taken to Mahalasville.

The services were conducted by the Rev. L. E. Groseclose, pastor of the Christian Church.
