Martinsville Couple In Double Slaying
MARTINSVILLE, Ind. (AP) --- Whether a Martinsville poolroom owner and his wife killed each other in a duel may be decided by ballistics test on the two guns in their home.
The victims were Robert Dillender, Sr., 52, and his wife, Margaret, 49. Police called by neighbors who heard the fusillade Saturday night found Dillener dead in their home and his wife's body in bushes a block away. Each had been shot twice.
Police said Mrs. Dillender may have run from the house seeing help after being wounded.
The guns, both .32 caliber revolvers, were found in the house, one near Dillender's body and the other in a back room. Police said both had been fired recently. The one in the back room appeared to have jammed after two shots were fired.
