Cardoza, John Silveira -- April 17, 1 963, Fortuna, California. Husband of Georgina J. Cardoza of Fortuna. Father of John P. Cardoza of Rio Dell, Henry I. Cardoza of Alton, California, Albert J. Cardoza, United States Army in Georgia, Marlene Marilyn Cardoza of Fortuna. Brother of Joe Cardoza of Willows, California. He is survived by two nephews, three nieces, six grandchildren, and numerous other relatives. Member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Fortuna, St. Anthony's Lodge and the Teamsters Local No. 684 of Eureka. He was associated with the Humboldt Creamery Association of Fernbridge as Assistant Butter Maker. A native of the Azores, age 55.
Rosary will be recited in the chapel of Goble's Fortuna Mortuary Sunday, April 21 at 8:00 P.M. Friends will assemble at Goble's Chapel Monday at 10:00 A.M. and proceed to St. Joseph's Catholic Church for a Requiem Mass at 10:30 A.M. with the Reverand Father M. Manogue celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Eureka.
