FERNDALE, April 8 --- Following a sudden heart attack, Manuel Silveira Cardoza, a native of the Azores Islands, died at his home here this morning. He was 62 years of age and had resided in this vicinity for 26 years. He had been employed by the Pacific Lumber Company of Scotia and was a member of the IDES and UPPEC lodges.
Surviving are his wife, Angelina; sons, John Cardoza of Metropolitan and Joseph Cardoza of Ferndale, and six grandchildren.
Rosary will be said tonight and Tuesday night at 8 o'clock in Citizens chapel. Requiem mass will be at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning in Church of the Assumption with burial at St. Mary's cemetery.
