Heimdel Woman Dies of Paryletic Stroke

Mrs. A. O. Haavig, who resided with her family three miles northwest of Heimdal, died a week ago last Friday, April 20th from a paralytic stroke after having been ill about two weeks. Deceased was well known in that community having lived there since 1899 when her husband homesteaded there. Funeral services were held last Tuesday, April 24th from the Wellsburg chuch with Rev. Langseth in charge. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Haavig was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Smith and was born in Lake Mills, Iowa in 1878. She is survived by her mother who resides at Kellog, Idaho, three brothers and two sisters, her husband and 10 children, Sylvester, Fremen; Mrs. W. L. Leidal, Wellsburg; Mrs. Wm. Pierce, Bremen and Henry, Myrtle, Nora, Kenneth, Verna and Eddie who are at home. One child died in infancy about a year ago.

Mrs. Haavig was a splendid woman and a kind and loving mother.
