On 21 Jul 1853, at the the age of 18, she married William Archabold Bagwell in Howard County, Indiana. They lived in the vicinity of Jerome, Indiana.
Mary gave birth to 3 children. First, Joseph M. Bagwell who only lived about 4 years (1854-1858). Her second child was Lewis Archabold Bagwell (1856-1896). The last child was John William Bagwell (1858-1938). She apparently had complications from this birth as she passed away 4 1/2 months later on 23 Aug 1858 in the Jerome vicinity. She was buried in the Jerome cemetery.
Her headstone reads: "MARY / Wife of / Wm A. Bagwell / Died / Aug 23, 1858 / Aged / 23Ys. 11Ms. 23ds." This calculates to a birthdate of 31 Aug 1834.

Bagwell / Died / Aug 23, 1858 / Aged / 23Ys. 11Ms. 23ds." So she was born 31 Aug 1834. It appears Mary died from complications arising from her 3rd birth.
