Eckhart - Elmer G. Hansel, 85, died Friday at Lions Manor Nursing Home in Cumberland.
Born In Moscow, March 3, 1898, he was a son of the late David Hansel and Jane (Clark) Hansel.
]Mr. Hansel was retired from the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory. He was a member of Eckhart United Methodist Church and Junior Order United American Mechanics.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Edith (Rephann) Hansel, one daughter, Mrs. Helen Shroyer, La Vale, one son, Donald Hansel, Winchester Road, La Vale, two sisters, Mrs Flora Logsdon, Frostburg, Mrs. Mary Martens, here, three brothers, Harry Hansel, Frostburg, Edgar Hansel, Eckhart, Ervin Hansel, Baltimore, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
