Mary (Wynkoop) Laning was the daughter of Isaac and Phebe (Jones) Wynkoop. She was the wife of Ralph Laning, Sr. They were married March 10, 1808. Ralph died May 4, 1843.

Mary was baptized 28 June 1789 at the North and Southampton Dutch Reformed Church. Her husband, Ralph, witnessed the signing of Joshua Wynkoop's will, Mary's brother, in 1826.
