His will was written 24 Apr 1826, and probated 26 May 1826; witnesses were Joseph Skinner, Ralph Lanning, Samuel Anderson. Ralph Lanning was his brother-in-law, husband of Joshua's sister, Mary Wynkoop. His will left all of his real and personal estate to wife, Catharine Anderson Wynkoop, and appointed her as sole executor of his will.
