Cora E. Lewis, 98, Westview Manor Nursing Home, died a 8 a.m. Monday at Dunn Memorial Hospital.
Born in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Robert and Mary (Hollars) Ray. She married Irvin Lewis Nov. 29, 1919 in Bedford, and he died Nov. 21, 1963.
She was a homemaker and a member of Dive Christian Church.
Survivors include one son, Joseph Randall Lewis of Columbus; two daughters, Mrs. Roy (June) Dalton and Pauline Love, both of Bedford; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Clinton Chenault; one daughter, Margaret Luther; three grandchildren; four brothers and five sisters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Bro. Phillip Curry officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
