Carl Smith Moore, Jr., 36, of Flora, died at 7:40 a.m. Monday, June 9, 1980, at Home Hospital, Lafayette. Born July 1, 1943, in Vernon, Ala., he was the son of Carl Smith and Ollie D. Pennington Moore. He was married March 12,1965, in Pyrmont to Mary Alice Pearson, who survives. A graduate of Flora High School, he served in the U.S. Army from 1964-67. He was a job setter at Chrysler Corporation, Kokomo, and was a member of the Flora First Baptist Church and the UAW Union and Eagles Lodge, both of Kokomo. Surviving with the wife are the parents of Bringhurst; one son, David Moore, at home; two daughters, Michele and Cindy Moore, both at home; Five sisters, Dorthy Wiles, Judy Reed and Barbara Marchand, all of Flora, Chris Ramsey and Ann Huffman, both of Hemet, Calif. Services were at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, at Reinke Funeral Home, Flora, with the Rev. Ernest Laughtner officiating. Burial was in Maple Lawn Cemetery.
