DEATH OF MARTHA J. WARREN
Martha J. Warren, aged 76, died at the Warren home in Upper Malta, Tuesday afternoon at 1:30, following a three week's illness from dysentery.
She was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Longstreth and was born and raised in the Deavertown neighborhood.
She and her husband, Geo. W. Warren, who survives, would have observed the 57th anniversary of their marriage next Sunday, had she lived.
Most of the decedent's life was spent on the Warren homestead on Poplar Ridge, now owned by Mrs. Ed. Taylor, but she and her husband purchased property in Upper Malta ten years ago, where they moved and have since resided.
Surviving are the following children; E. D. Warren of Creston, Iowa; Frank P. Warren of Malta; J. A. Warren of Triadelphia; H. L. Warren of Deavertown; Mrs. Clara Martin of Malta, Rfd 1; Mrs. Elizabeth Cowan of Malta, and Arthur Warren of Malta Rfd. Also the sisters, Mrs. A. C. Helmick and Jrs. J. K. Barkhurst of Zanesville, and a brother, P. J. Longstreth of Deavertown. A sister, Mrs. Samuel McCaughey, is deceased.
Mrs. Warren was a member of the U. B. church at Oil Spring.
The funeral will be held this afternoon at the home at 2 o'clock, in charge of Rev. Frank Gillilan, with interment at the McConnelsville cemetery.
