Mrs. Elizabeth M. Cowan, 77, of Malta died at 7:35 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 17) in Good Samaritan Hospital after five and a half weeks' illness.
Mrs. Cowan was born July 14, 1890, in Morgan County, a daughter of George W. and Martha Longstreth Warren. She was the widow of the late Howard Cowan.
Mrs. Cowan was a member of Malta Methodist Church, its WSCS, Valley Chapter of the OES and the American Legion Auxiliary in McConnelsville.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Osborne of McConnelsville; and two grandsons.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Fisher Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Rev. Thomas Snyder officiating. Burial will be in McConnelsville Cemetery. Friends may call 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
