Samuel J. Alloway, 67, husband of Alverta M. Bowers Alloway, 2008 N. Beaver St., died at 2:24 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Osteopathic Hospital.
Mr. Alloway was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church. He was a retired employe of Rutter Brothers Dairy Inc., where he worked for 35 years.
He was born in York County, a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Hough Alloway.
Surviving are four children, Samuel B. Alloway, Lock Haven, Pa. ; Mrs. Doris Hoke, Manchester RD 1; Richard L. Alloway, 535 Prospect St.; and Mrs. Ruth Ann Danfelt, 2028 N. Beaver St.; seven grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Dora Hoffman, Red Lion; Mrs. Lillian Lease, Dover; Mrs. Ozella Hilt, East Prospect; Mrs. Maude Anderson, 519 Thomas St.; and Mrs. Elsie Forwood, Cross Roads; and three brothers, Irvin Alldway, Brogue; Elmer Alloway, Dover; and Raymond Alloway, Mount Wolf.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Workinger Funeral Home, 849 E. Market St. The Rev. L. Vance Green, associate pastor of Messiah UM, will officiate. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

On Aug. 19, 1978, at 2.24 a.m., at Memorial Osteopathic Hospital, Samuel J. Alloway, husband of Alverta M. Bowers Alloway, 2008 N. Beaver St., aged 67 years, 10 days.
Funeral services Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Workinger Funeral Home, 849 E. Market St. Interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Viewing Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
