BOONE, LAVERGNE S., BRANT, MICHIGAN
Passed away Staurday, Janurary 6, 1990 at St. Lukes Hospital. Age 86 years. He was born July 24, 1903 in Brant and had lived there all his life. He was the son of
Charles O. and Ethel (Fuller) Boone. He married Beatrice Huntley June 28, 1930. She survives him. He was a longtime 4-H member and former leader. He was the former Brant Township Treasurer and was the retired Treasurer and Sectretary of the Tri-County Fire District. Mr. Boone was a retired farmer.

Surviving besides his wife are two daughter and their spouses, Mary Ruth and Don Smith, Brant; Doris and Glen Arnst, Brant; four grandchildren, Richard Barror, Marclene Denton, Robert Barror and one sister Pearl Francis, Owosso; One brother, Garrison Boone, Chesaning; one sister-in-law, Vivan Boone, Corunna. He was pre-deceased by two sons, Thomas and Robert and also a brother, Clarence Boone. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 1990 at the Walker-Martin Funeral Home, Chesaning. Rev. David Notting will officiate with burial in the Brant Cemetery. Friend may make memorials to the 4-H or your favorite charity.

Lived in Brant all his life, served many years as township treasurere; lived on "former Perry Crane Farm (1972). Part of their property housed the second Cranettown school, the Templar's Hall, the first Brant Church and the Free Methodist Church. Certainly one of the most historic farms in Brant township.
