Edna was deaf at age 2-years and attended the Kansas School for the Deaf in Olathe, Johnson, Kansas. There she met her future husband, Edward. They were married in a double wedding with sister Florence and Donovan Elliott. Florence said the vows for both she and Edna so Edward always said he had two wives. Edna was amazing with crochet... could watch three soaps at the same time and not miss a stitch. She and Ed were both avid bowlers with the deaf team, attended deaf socials, danced, played cards and enjoyed life. Edna always had a small dog or two as they were her ears should someone come to the door or come in the yard. They never had children but would have been great parents.
