Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Crummy Funeral Home, Viola.
Born May 7, 1890, in Aledo, the daughter of Frank and Lucy Crook Lansing. Mrs. Beard was educated in Aledo schools. She married Don W. Beard on March 13, 1910, in Rock Island.
She was an active member of the Viola Methodist Church.
Surviving are the husband, five sons, Chalmers, Keith, and Glen, all of Moline; Fred, East Moline, and Dwight, Rock Island; three daughters, Mrs. Elsie Munson, Viola; Mrs. Ray Kister, Galesburg, and Mrs. Leonard Lemon, Rock Island.
There are also ten great-grandchildren and 17 grandchildren. Other survivors include six sisters, Mrs. Minnie Plunkett, Viola, Mrs. Fred Beck, Sherrard, Mrs. Harry Lunn and Mrs. Joe Pitman, both of Reynolds, and Mrs. Boyd Dotson, East Moline.
She was preceded in death by the parents, one sister, two brothers, and a grandson.
