After Albert passed away Eliza mom came to Canada to help out with the family as there oldest child was 14 the youngest was 5 years old . Eliza mom was totally blind and made the trip on her own . Her mother told her to stay in Canada and carry on so they did the next spring they bought another quarter section of land at the ranch . There church bought some new land and asked people to go and setttle on it so her and the family went . In 1909 bought 3 quarters of land in Hillspring Alberta . The family built a new home and a large barn . After they made the move to Hillspring her children all got married and Eliza was on her own . She had to make some decisions about what to do she decided to move back to Cardston to the house they still owned there .
