Mary Virginia Harris, 64, of Rt. 9, Martinsville, died Wednesday, May 17, 1995, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.
Born Aug 27, 1930 in Henry County, she was a daughter of the late Martin L. Harris and the late Lilla Palmer Harris. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred H. Moore, and three brothers, Charles M., Lester M., and Lowell T. Harris.
She had worked at American and Hooker Furniture companies as an upholsterer.
Harris reared a niece, Mrs. Barron (Cindy) Frith, and a nephew, Van A. Moore, both of Martinsville. She is also survived by one brother, Joseph McKinley Harris of Roanoke; and a sister, Elizabeth Shoemaker of Martinsville.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 A.M. Friday at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Haywood Alcorn will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. today.
