Mrs. Lilla Bell Palmer Harris, 76, of 117 Roselawn Heights, died Sunday morning in General Hospital. She had been in declining health for several years and seriously ill for one week.
Mrs. Harris was born in Patrick County and was the daughter of the late William P. and Lisa Lawson Palmer. She had lived in Martinsville since 1925.
Her husband was the late Martin Luther Harris who died in 1959.
Mrs. Harris is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Luther T. Shoemaker, Mrs. Mildred Moore, and Miss Mary Harris of Martinsville; four sons, C. Monroe, Lester M., Lowell T. and J.M. Harris of Martinsville; three sisters, Miss Lucy Palmer and Mrs. Bertie P. Anderson of Stuart and Mrs. Sallie Brim of Lawsonville, NC; two brothers, John P. Palmer of Stuart and Owen Palmer of Mt. Airy, NC; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 P.M. Tuesday at McCabe Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. Phillip Duckett and Elder Harry Bowman. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The body will be taken to the home at 3 P.M. today and to the church at 12 noon Tuesday.

Pallbearers were Ben Gray, Jeff Harris, Sam Harris, Herman Powell, William Tatum and Leroy Palmer. Friends served as flowerbearers.
Mrs. Harris is survived by three daughters, four sons, three sisters, two brothers, 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
