My Great Grandmother (whom I knew)'s older brother, she said he was a big man (350 lbs.), an ambitious fellow, kept busy with his General Store, hunting, fishing and keeping close to his 8 brothers & sisters. At 60 years old, with cancer and depression, he ended his life privately with a gun.

In 1900-1905 censuses he is residing in Long Lake, NY as a Guide and Superintendant
1915 he and wife were in Queensbury, where Will was employed as a dairy man.
1920-9 Merchant grocer, living on Mill Creek Rd., Johnsburg with Brother Bert Bates family.
