MENDENHALL -- James Walter May, 72, died Monday at Simpson General Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 p. m. from the Poplar Springs Baptist Church with interment in the Poplar Springs Cemetery.

Survivors Include: three sons, L. C., James Roy and Walter Ray, all of Mendenhall; three daughters, Mrs. Mamie Everett and Mrs Norma Ruth Cone, both of Mendenhall, also Mrs. Frances Cooper of Florence; six brothers, Frank, Joseph and A. D., of Mendenhall, J. W. of Vicksburg, Earl of Mississippi City and James Wilburn, Jr of South Carolina; eight sisters, Mrs. Lillian Rankin of Mendenhall, Mrs. Enos Layton of Mize, Mrs. Louis Tucker of Pascagoula, Mrs. Claude Polk and Mrs. Edwin Polk, both of Lucedale, Mrs. Hinto Grubbs of Jackson, Mrs. Walter Sanford of Raleigh, Mrs. Ruby Lee Bunchk of Lucedale; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Upton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
