Morilla Smith Allen died at home on Butternut Street Sunday, February 5th. Mr. Allen was born in Wethersfield, May 19, 1851, the son of Isaac and Catherine Waite Allen. He had lived in Warsaw for the past 36 years. In 1873 he married Miss Myrta S. Shepard.

He was a carpenter by trade. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, four children; Mrs. George Cook of Pavilion, Mrs. Bertha Corle and Lewis E. Allen of Warsaw and Mrs. B.R. Westbrook of Buffalo; six grandchildren and three sister, Mrs. Lorenzo Wright of Warsaw, Mrs. Louise Zeches of Hermitage and Mrs. Arvile Vanslyke of Ripon, California.

The funeral was held at the home Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock with the Rev. Howard M. Green officiating. He was buried at Smith's Corners.
