Pvt. Union Army, Civil War, 1861-1865-Pvt. Maxwell was killed in the line of duty on 6-27-1864 while serving with Co. G of the 103rd Illinois Infantry at Kennesaw Mt. Georgia.

Pvt. Maxwell joined the Union Army on August 9, 1862 in Canton, Illinois. He was married and a Farmer. Pvt. Maxwell is the son of Mr. Alexander H. & Mrs. Mary {Ellis} Maxwell of Canton.

Awards: Civil War Medal.
