CARL BURTON ANDERSON
17 MAY 1917 - 10 JAN 1974
SURGOINSVILLE – Carl Burton Anderson, 56, of Surgoinsville, Rt. 2, was dead on arrival at Hawkins County Memorial Hospital late Thursday evening. He had been in failing health for several years.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, in which he served in the Philippines.
He is survived by is widow, Mrs. Mary Fansler Anderson; sons, Homer, Delmar and Doyle Anderson, all of Surgoinsville, and Don Anderson, Kingsport; daughters, Mrs. Betty Arnold, Surgoinsville; Mrs. Ruby Wade, Rogersville and Mrs. Dorothy Watkins, St. Clair Community; nine grandchildren; and brother, Leonard Anderson, Surgoinsville.
Colboch-Price Funeral Home of Rogersville is in charge.
Funeral services for Carl Burton Anderson will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Looney's Chapel with Rev. R. J. Osborne officiating. Burial in Bethel Cemetery.
The body will be removed to the church one hour prior to the service. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Colboch-Price Funeral Home is in charge.
