Wardell Alfred Hosea, 81, passed away peacefully February 15, 2011 in Bryan, Texas. Wardell is the son of Earnest and Linda Dorothy McGee Hosea. Ila Mae Yance Hosea was his step-mother. Wardell was raised in Waller, Texas, then was a Houstonian for many years. Mr. Hosea served his country proudly in the Army during the Korean War, and retired from J. W. Weingarten after 37 years. He was a man of great integrity.

Mr. Hosea was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Ollre, Father, Earnest Hosea, Brothers, Earnest, Elmer, Frank Hosea,and one sister, Barbara Dunn. He is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Josephine; son, Thomas W. Hosea; daughter, Linda Kelly and husband, Ricky; granddaughter, Tonya Hamilton and husband, Darren and their children, Parke and Kennedy; granddaughter, Angela Shahan and husband, Ryan, and their soon-to-be-born son; son-in-law, David Ollre and his daughter, Amy, and other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Heights Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
