Barbara L. Dunn, 54, of Amarillo died Tuesday, July 29, 2008.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Maj. Tim Grider officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.

Barbara was born April 27, 1954, in Hempstead to Ernest and Ila Mae Hosea. She married Chester Dunn on March 6, 1981, in Amarillo. She was a member of the home league and was secretary for the Salvation Army. Barbara loved the Lord and was a Salvation Army Church member.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Hosea; and two brothers, Elmer Hosea and Frank Hosea.

Survivors include her husband, Chester Dunn; her mother, Ila Mae Hosea of Tomball; two brothers, Ed Hosea of La Marque and Wardell Hosea of Centerville; six sisters, Thelma Waldrop of Comisel, Mattie Arkwright of Houston, Gertie Sims of Hockley, Vergie Proffit of Oregon and Myrtle Costello and Jeanie Wagner, both of Waller; and several nieces and nephews.
