Oxford, Ia., July 26 – Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza Butler, who died in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Laura Amick, Sac City, were held in the Methodist chuch, North English.
She had been a teacher in the North English schools many years. She was married to James D. Butler in 1881. Mr. Butler preceded her in death. She was postmaster in North English eight years, being appointed by President Wilson.
Surviving are two sons: James, Marengo, and Frank, Williamsburg; and three daughters: Mrs. Amick, Sac City; Mrs. Helen Overholt, Royal, and Mary, Colfax. (Quad-City Times, Davenport, IA, July 26, 1934)
