Our dearest mother and friend Fern Voss Davis, 91, of Las Vegas, graciously completed her journey of this earthly life Jan. 21, 2011. She celebrated 91 years with her family, friends and acquaintances. Fern was born Nov. 4, 1919 in Morgan, Utah, and later moved to Las Vegas. She worked for the Clark County engineering department and was named "Woman of the Year" by the Mojave Rose Chapter of the American Business Women's Association. She later transferred to the Metropolitan Police Department in records, where she worked until her retirement. She married Woodrow Roberts and was later divorced. She met and married her eternal companion, Owen P. Davis "Bud"; they lived a happy and fun life together for 42 years. They were members of the LDS church and were sealed to each other for time and eternity in the Las Vegas Temple. They worked at the temple for several years. They traveled, camped, fished (often), and enjoyed crafting together; however, their best times were spent with their family. She will be loved and missed by all. We will always remember her laughter, fun-loving nature and the love she gave to everyone. Fern was preceded in death by her husband, Owen; her daughter, RaNae Morin; grandson, Floyd Morin; and eight her 11 siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon McKinlay and Janice Gannon; and son-in-law, Bill Gannon; as well as nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 29, with funeral services following at 1 p.m., both at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N.
Burial will follow at Eden Vale Memorial Park.
