Norman E. Voss, 91, of Lincoln and formerly of Lodi, died July 24. He was born March 13, 1918, in Morgan, Utah.


Mr. Voss lived in Lincoln for the past two years. He moved there from Lodi, where he had lived for many years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Following his honorable discharge, he worked in heavy equipment and construction as a supervisor for the federal government in Utah and California for 34 years. Mr. Voss was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 68, where he served twice as post commander and served as commander of the 14th District Region. He enjoyed fishing and drawing with chalk and painting pastels.

He is survived by his companion, Elaine Campbell, of Lodi; daughter, Margie Weir, of Lincoln; sons, Bruce Voss, of Naples, Fla., Brian Voss, of Fort Calhoun, Neb., and Mike Voss of Napa; sisters, Fern Davis, of Nevada, and Joyce Rose, of Utah; brothers, Grant Voss, of Utah, and Jim Voss, of San Diego; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helena Voss; and daughter, Norma Jean Kruitbosch.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Private interment will be in the Galt-Arno Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Donahue Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
