MRS. MABEL WHEELER
Lydia Abbie Mabel Baldwin was born at Ada, May 2, 1879, the daughter of Henry Gilbert and Ellen S. Fisher Baldwin. She passed away at Stormont-Vail hospital in Topeka on Dec. 4.
At an early age she gave her life to Jesus and joined the Methodist Church, remaining a loyal member and attending regularly so long as her health permitted.
On April 15, 1914, she was married to Willard W. Wheeler of Delphos. They provided a wonderful Christian home for three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Reichard, of Richmond, Kansas; Mrs. Georgia Titley, of Anderson, Ind.; and Mrs. Margaret Dalrymple, of Topeka.
She is survived by her three daughters and their husbands; nine grandsons; one sister, Mrs. Elfie Hallock, of Salina; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the First United Methodist Church in Minneapolis Sunday, Dec. 7, with the Rev. L. Fred Houston officiating. Mrs. Rex Hallock and Mrs. Robert Baldwin of Salina were the musicians. Burial was in the Delphos cemetery.
Casket bearers were Floyd Buck of Tescott; Rex Hallock and Robert Baldwin of Salina; Charles Carlson and Ralph Umbarger of Minneapolis; and Virgil Umbarger of Ada.
