Mollie Mae Davis, 73, of Andrews, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Holy Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Piney Forest Cemetery under the direction of the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at the Andrews Chapel from 7 until 9 p.m.
Mrs. Davis was born July 18, 1929, in Georgetown County, a daughter of Thomas Ervin Davis and Isla Mae Blakey Davis. She was educated in the Georgetown County School System and was a member of Holy Trinity Pentecostal Church.
She was predeceased by two grandsons, Walt Watts and Herbie Lambert, and three brothers, the Rev. James G. Davis, William Edward Davis and John Thomas Davis; two sisters, Pearl Bone and Maude Ethridge.
Surviving are a son, Charles Delbert "Sputty" Altman of Andrews; two daughters, Isla Ann Watts and Angeline Lambert, both of Georgetown; two step-sons, Frank Altman of Hortence, Ga.; and Roger Altman of Fornadina Beach, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Ruth Ann Shipman of Hertford, N.C., and Rita Cooper of Moncks Corner; a brother, Ervin Davis Jr. of Andrews; four sisters, Bernice Martin, Mary Alice Mathis, Dorothy Jacobs and Vernie Mercer, all of Georgetown; five grandchildren, Dianne Thomas, Sherry A. Lambert, Tiffany Altman, Lee Watts and Eric Altman; and four great-grandchildren, Erin Thomas, Bradley Thomas, Parker Thomas and Hayley Watts.
