ELKHART - Lacy Bell Bradley, 62, beloved mother and sister who resided in Lexington Square Apartments, Elkhart, Indiana was born on July 6, 1948 in Forest City, Missouri to the union of Dennis and Martha (Jordan) Bonds who both preceded her in death.
Coming from Caruthersville, Missouri in 1952 she moved to Elkhart and she gave her life to God at a very early age under Elder Lockhart. Lacy passed away on Monday, January 31, 2011 at her home due to a brief illness. In 1987 she married Willie (Red) Bradley in Elkhart, Indiana who preceded her in death in 2002. She was employed at Godfrey Marine where she retired in 1996. She loved to visit her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She exceptionally enjoyed herself at family gatherings and playing bingo.
Lacy was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Martha Bonds, her husband, Willie (Red) Bradley, a son, Tommy F. Bonds,one step daughter,Yolanda Marcella "Linda" Garrett, one sister, Annabelle Greer and three brothers, Wilton, Dennis and Eddie Bonds.
Lacy leaves to cherish her memory four sons, Darlanza, Genaro and Thswjaun Bonds all of Elkhart, Indiana and Dashen Bonds of Three Rivers, Michigan, two step sons, Willie J. Bradley and Stephen Brown both of Elkhart, Two step daughters, Mrs. Freddie (Janet) Childress of Wilson, Arkansas, Renee Adkins, of Goshen,Indiana,a special god daughter, Fairy Bonds of Benton Harbor, Michigan, three sisters, Irene Yancy, Katie (Manuel) Higgins and Johnny Buford, one brother, William Bonds all of Elkhart, 15 grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Lacy Bell Bradley will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Canaan Baptist Church located at 933 Rev. Theodus Hadley Avenue, Elkhart, Indiana with burial following at Prairie Street Cemetery
