Eddie Bonds, 65, of 317 West Indiana Avenue, departed this life on Tuesday,
June 2, 2009 at 1:16 a.m. at Elkhart General Hospital.
Mr. Bonds was born on January 13, 1944 to the late Mr. Dennis and Martha Bonds
of Widener AK. Eddie was the seventh of nine children born to this union.
He attended Elkhart Community Schools.
Mr. Bonds worked under Wendy Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling Services
for 20 years until the business closed.
He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Eddie (Tammy) Words of Dallas, TX;
two daughters, Cathy Ann Smith of South Bend, IN., Tammy Suggs of Grand Rapids, MI.
15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren;
four sisters, Ms. Johnny Buford, Mrs. Katie (Manuel) Higgins, Mrs. Lacy (Willie) Bradley,
Mrs. Irene (Karo) Yancy and one brother William (Elizabeth) Bonds.
Eddie leaves to cherish his companion and best friend Michelle Daniels of nine years.
He enjoyed fishing and cooking, BBQ's, and outings with family and friends.
He really enjoyed looking at his car books.

two brothers, Mr. Dennis Bonds Jr., Mr. Wilton Bonds; one sister, Ms. Annabelle Greer,
all preceded him in death.
Funeral services for Mr. Eddie Bonds will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday,
June 8, 2009 at Canaan Baptist Church, Elkhart, IN.,
with burial following at the Prairie Street Cemetery.
Visitation will occur one hour prior to service at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted with Alford's Mortuary.
