Dashen was born on March 13, 1975, to Evanule Pratcher and Lacy Belle Bonds. Dashen was a resident of Elkhart, Indiana. During his lifetime he also resided in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Three Rivers, Michigan. He attended Elkhart Central High School where he was an accomplished wrestler.
Dashen was a member of New Vision of Life Church where Reverend Marvin T. Pace was his pastor. He was a faithful reader of the word. He loved sports, video games, and cooking. He will most be remembered for his laugh, sense of humor, generosity, and his late-night phone calls when he would talk for hours. Dashen was a proud, loving father, and given any opportunity, he would proudly speak of his two beautiful daughters, Daitriona “Fats” and Destiny “Fuba.”
In his loving memory, Dashen leaves two daughters, Daitriona and Destiny Bonds; four sisters, Gloria (Pastor Marvin T.) Pace, Doris J. Pratcher, Glenda (Alphonse Jr.) Cockerham, and Angela (James) Neal, all of Elkhart, Indiana; three brothers, Darlanza Bonds, Genaro Bonds, and Thowquan Bonds, all of Three Rivers, Michigan; three godmothers, Johnny Buford, Irene Purdiman, and Rosie Williams; stepmother, Olivia Pratcher; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Daashen was preceded in death by his father and mother, Evanule Pratcher and Lacy Belle Bradley; stepfather, Willie Bradley; brother, Tommy Bonds; aunts, Irene Yancy and Annabelle Greer; uncles, Eddie, Dennis Jr., and Weldon Bonds; grandparents, Dennis and Martha Bonds, and Alex and Hattie B. Pratcher.
Funeral services for Dashen Bonds will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Agape Missionary Baptist Church, 248W. Wolf Avenue, Elkhart, Indiana, with Reverend Marvin T. Pace officiating. Friends may visit the church at 11:00 a.m.
