Geneva Sullivan Sparkman, 80, of Franklin, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Graystone Nursing Home in Franklin. Mrs. Sparkman was born in Hickman County and made her home in Franklin. She did alterations for many years at the National Store and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her son, L.C. Sparkman of Exton, Pa.; two daughters, Nadine Yancy of Franklin and Fay Sparkman of Brentwood; two brothers, Elmer (Bobby) Sullivan of Franklin and Guy Sullivan of Georgia; six sisters, Theola McCord of Livonia, Mich., and Verla Caldwell, Delorce Sullivan and Wilma Sullivan, all of Franklin, Molly Akin of Thompson's Station and Margaret Jones of Kingsport; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Jim Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Carey Richards, John Williams, Billy Noland and grandsons. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association
