2010 Jan 25 - Traverse City - Marion Jane Greene was born Sunday 2 Jan 1921 in Elk Rapids to William Crawford 'Ford' & Selma Louise Amelia (Wilde) Greene III. She Married Ernest Cleveland Hankins in 1938 and was divorced Wednesday 14 Dec 1960. When her children were young she lived in Harrietta, she also lived in Buckley, Middelton, Elk Rapids, Quincy, Mesick, Alma, Grand Ledge, Frankfort, Kewadin, and in her later years Traverse City. She worked at One Hour Martinizing in Traverse City before her retirement Wednesday 27 Jun 2001.

Marion Jane (Greene) Hankins of Traverse City died Tuesday 25 Jan 2011 at the age of 90 y 0 m 23 d at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, after her failing health for the past few years. Survivors included 8 daughters; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Ernest Junior 'Ernie' Hankins 30 Nov 1995, Robert Walter 'Bobby' Hankins Sr 21 Jul 1979; 2 daughters, Shirley Ann (Hankins, Yager) Behrns 14 Apr 2005, Donna Jean Porter 05 Jun 2006; her parents, William 06 Apr 1930 & Selma 18 Jun 1982; ex-husband Ernest 18 Feb 1985; 3 grandsons, Gregory Allen Yager 26 Aug 1961, Robert Walter Hankins Jr 24 Aug 1969, Douglas James Yager 20 Nov 1970; 2 granddaughters, Cynthia Kay Yager 16 Jul 1964, and Jane Lee Yager 26 Mar 1972; 2 sisters, Lorraine J Boczkaja 12 Feb 1982 and Selma W 'Sammy' Voss 28 Nov 1972.

Visitation was 1-2 pm Saturday 29 Jan 2011 at Covell Funeral Home on State St in Traverse City. A memorial service was held at 2 pm Saturday 29 Jan 2011 at Covell Funeral Home.

Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Elk Rapids Thursday 19 May 2011. Arrangements were entrusted to Covell Funeral Home of Traverse City.
