VERGENNES, VT.- Harold "Cap" Kenneth Field Sr., age 70, of Vergennes, passed away on Monday, June 7th 1982 at the Veterans Hospital in White River Junction, Vt.

He was born on January 8th 1912 in Ferrisburg, Vt., he was the son of Thaddeus Benjamin and Rosanna "Rose" (Hamel) Field.

He served In the U.S. Army in World War II In the South Pacific with Company K, 172nd Infantry, 43rd Division. He received the Purple Heart with an Oak Leaf Cluster.

He married Doris Elizabeth Barrows on July 15th 1941 in Ferrisburg, Vermont. Together they had five children; four daughters and one son.

He retired several years ago from the Green Mountain Power Co. after 29 years of employment.

He was a member of the St. Peter's Parish Church and Vergennes American Legion Post 14 in Vergennes, Vt.

Arrangements by the Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes, Vt.

Interment will be at the Prospect Cemetery in Vergennes, Vt.
