Obituary
A service remembering the life of Carrol Wilson Poirier Sr., 67, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Codi Miller officiating. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. A native of Breaux Bridge and a resident of Youngsville, Mr. Poirier died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, at a Lafayette hospital.

Mr. Poirier was retired having worked in the dredging industry for many years and he also worked as a sheet rock finisher and painter as well.

He is survived by his three daughters, Margaret Poirier, of Broussard, Emelie P. Bankston, of Lafayette, and Camille P. Guillory, of Youngsville; his three sons, Carrol Poirier II, Leopold Poirier and Charles Poirier, all of Youngsville; his three sisters, Theresa Poirier, Mary Alphonse and Bertha Gerard, all of Lafayette; his ten grandchildren; and his loving companion for over ten years, Helen LeBlanc.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leopold Poirier; his mother, Emilie Poche Poirier; his son, Marc Poirier; his daughter, Mary Poirier; and his brother, Claude Poirier.

Serving as pallbearers will be his three sons Leopold, Charles and Carrol, Tim Rabalais, Dalton Romero and Jason Guillory.

The David Funeral Home of Lafayette, 316 Youngsville Highway was in charge of the arrangements.
