Lafayette - Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 1999, in the Delhomme Bertrand Chapel of the Flowers for Marc Antoine Poirier, 35, who died Sunday, July 4, 1999.

The Rev. Mike Linney, pastor of the Church on the Rock, will conduct the services.

Interment will take place in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.

A native of Salinas, California, Marc was a resident of
Youngsville most of his life. He was the son of Carrol W. Poirier and Margaret Mary Arnaud.

Marc worked as a draftsman and was an artist, specializing in charcoal and pencil work.

Survivors include his wife, the former Martha Rae Cooper of Youngsville; three sisters, Margaret Mary Poirier of Broussard, Mrs. David (Emelie P.) Bankston of Arnaudville and Camille Nanette Poirier of Youngsville; three brothers, Carrol W. Poirier, Jr., Leopold M. and his wife, Bonnie H. Poirier, and Charles S. Poirier, all of Youngsville; his mother; Margaret Mary Arnaud of Youngsville; and his father Carrol W. Poirier of Youngsville.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Poirier.

Pallbearers were Leopold M. Poirier, Charles S. Poirier, Carrol Poirier, Jr., Donald Wright, Roy Cooper and David Bankston.

The funeral was under the direction of Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive in Lafayette, Louisiana.
